“I have been attending Pilates three days a week with Caitlin since January 2014, and while I feel so much better physically, I have experienced emotional and spiritual benefits as well.
The morning class is tailored to beginners who want to grow in strength and stamina, and the participants work to encourage one another and welcome new members often. It lifts my spirits to be around others working for better health and lifestyle balance.
Caitlin is a wonderful teacher who breaks down the exercises so that as our individual strength and coordination increases we are able to go a little farther with a more challenging exercise. She helps me modify exercises to my needs based on knee, hip and wrist pain. Because of this I am able to benefit fully from the entire exercise class.
Since doing Pilates I have become more aware and thus improved my posture and balance. This helps me more carefully plan my movements so that I don't injure myself while being active hiking and gardening. Other benefits are a more defined waistline and feeling better physically, emotionally and spiritually, because I am taking time out to care for myself so that I can better care for my family.
Caitlin is a thoughtful teacher who works with our group to help us reach our personal exercise goals. Her watchful eyes keep us on track and she doesn't hesitate to stop a moment to correct and help us to safely complete each movement to reap the full benefit of our work together. “Pilates has been a blessing for me...keeping me flexible and almost totally free of joint pain. Caitlin keeps us motivated when we get a little "lazy". Her instruction is clear and she repeats and demonstrates. Her sense of humor and enthusiasm and certainly her patience in working with those of us over 65 is wonderful. It is an enjoyable hour, even if sometimes we struggle during the exercising/stretching. I have been involved in many different types of exercising over the years and I find Pilates to be the most effective. It is totally worthwhile!
